We know a lot of people are waiting on new features so we've created a road map of the direction we're taking and the current work in progress.

Rather than promising an eta for new features, we've broken the development into stages, which will give an indication of the expected order for delivery of new features.

Each stage will move through the following phases, Design, In Progress, Code Complete, Testing and Release.

Interim release of current version - V2014.0.3.0 has been released.
We've been working on an interim release of TandemVids for the last few months. This is now complete. All of the YouTube upload code has been rewritten to accommodate the recent changes made by Google when they switched YouTube to utilise a Google+ account.

Stage One – currently in progress

Create new generic version called RunRunVids® with all skydiving terminology stripped out

This version can be branded and localised for new languages by changing associated resource files

Rework the data layer backend
• Enable iteration of business object collections to assist developer integration
• Fix the slow binding for large customer databases when initiating the Search tab
• Split customers and template configurations across separate databases and unlock the database
• Maintain support for Microsoft Compact SQL, the current database used by TandemVids
• Support SQL Server and SQL Server Express for advanced users
• Support SQLLite
• Allow naming and moving the database(s) to any location
• Allow customer import from any database
• Allow database versioning
• Network support for databases or sharing customers across installations

Recreate the TandemVids® skydiving version based on the RunRunVids® core components

Recreate existing proprietary customised versions based on the RunRunVids core components

Add more detail for customers, including custom fields and the ability to insert these fields into the videos as text similar to the name and celebration

Automated program updates

Buy now button from within the software to simplify licensing purchases

Stage Two

Split the YouTube upload component into a separate application that can be run from a single networked computer and manage all uploads across multiple workstations

SMS notification and multiple email addresses for upload notification

Support uploading to RealXStream

Support uploading to Vimeo

Sponsor integration

Stage Three

Rebuild and redesign www.swoopware.com website

Stage Four - miscellaneous feature requests will be released as they're completed and are not listed in order of importance

Ability to override central settings and group certain settings like rendering engines and DVD Architect templates with the selected Vegas template

Ability to drop photos and video grabs into the timeline as source media

Ability to add additional music tracks for longer videos

Customised HTML based emails

Video and Photo watermarks

Multiple output destinations for photos and rendered videos

Allow multiple camera support and insertion into multiple tracks on the timeline. This will allow 3D videos and also combined videos using outside and handcam for deluxe videos

Ability to customise the video and photo file names

Add additional generic rendering options

Use the same rendered file for different outputs if rendering engines and templates are identical

Add multiple customers to the queue from the search tab

Keystroke support for no menus in DVDA

Rectify an issue with source audio spikes between events when not crossfaded

Ability to align music peak with exit

Ability to select new project settings for photo extraction

Insert a section of a video into the source media list

Ability to credit music and artist for creative commons licensing

Media details and trimmed values displayed in the source media list

Thumbnails for source media

Allow greater control over source audio levels during climb-out, during freefall and under canopy

Allow music to be associated and grouped with templates

Allow audio levels to be configured by sliding a location bar to a point in the video so you can split audio levels across an event to accommodate landing and interviews in the one clip

Ability to automatically trim videos to a specific time frame prior to exit

Control over the repeat freefall component

Include the ability to add the freefall start and end points along with audio and speed adjustments to any video clip, including the repeat freefall event

Add the ability to copy template settings and events to different templates

Allow import and export for templates, settings and events

Viewable error logs

Viewable and persistent customer progress and activity log

Create a new application to allow Customer data to be entered and viewed on a separate computer such as manifest

Ability to search, open and process customers from any computer on the Network

Day tape functionality by combining multiple customers on the one DVD

Facebook integration and selectable photo uploading

Twitter integration

Flip SLR photos

Insert empty video shots or remove events on the fly

Merge source videos

Split source videos

Method to switch source media folders for different cameras

Simple reporting functionality and 3D Charting

Look into a different architecture to allow access to Sony Vegas and make TandemVids a standard Sony Vegas plugin for advanced users

Add named velocity envelopes to start from a selectable point and continue to the end of the event or vice versa, which would allow a slow motion climb into the plane as an example

Language support, German and French for starters and then the remaining languages supported by Sony Vegas

Rebuild the video tutorials. The original ones can still be viewed from here.

Update the help documentation to reflect all these changes

Update the help documentation tutorials to reflect the new version of Sony Vegas

Ability to insert random clips from footage bins to create unique customer videos using the same template

Ability to mute music at the start and end of an event the same as the source audio.

A new "preview" rendering option that maintains the no sale status but creates a rendered video file you can show to potential customers.

Skip email generation after uploading to YouTube

Allow photo only DVD's and USB

Create spec videos with short clips to entice a purchase

Create spec videos for a whole load with short clips from each customer to entice a purchase

Create a shorter video template for YouTube uploads

Allow raw footage to be included on the DVD or USB

Allow completed Vegas project to be included on the DVD or USB

Option to skip the prompt to produce another USB

Look into the feasibility of sending key strokes to close DVD Architect after a successful burn.

Offer to write protect DVD Architect templates when importing and provide lock/unlock functionality on the DVD tab. This would set the deny write permissions for a template so you don't have to do it manually.

An additional output format for sending rendered videos to a Network folder. Similar to USB but USB is not available when being used for USB delivery.

Only archive customer source media and photos. Do not archive completed projects or music.

Ability to change minor things such as customer name, skydive date, or music without having to restart the entire video.

Ability to customise the format of the YouTube title and description so instead of 'Skydive of Peter Webb' it could be 'Skydive of PW ([Date])'.

Set title and description in MP4 video meta data.

If random music is selected, choose another track when a media file is invalid.

If random music is selected, choose another track when a media file is too short.

Allow the use of a single event template and fill it with an ad hoc number of source media shots.

Populate customer name and email an achievement certificate
